I'd see this fitting next to "Today" underneath the large icon.

"Today - updated recently"
"Today - updated 30 minutes ago"
"Today - updated 3 hours ago"

There's plenty of room next to "Today" on that line, and it is a small, unobtrusive font size, which could be made slightly lighter for the time text.

We would of course need to take care of translations for that text.
