I think we still need the confirmation as it's quite a destructive action (from the user's perspective at least - even though they can re-download the app). I agree the messaging could be better though. Can you link to the spec and visual designs you're woking from please just so I can check I'm looking at the same ones.
If uninstalling doesn't delete the info then we should certainly not have that as the message. I wouldn't say Remove though as it could be ambiguous in some places. We should say uninstall or delete. How about:
