Bug Description

The accuracy of the timer hand touch input seems to be a bit erratic. When you try to move the timer hand to say 15 seconds, it requires the timer hand to be moved a bit more than 15 to set it for 15 seconds.

This can be noticed in the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UvsPwk-J10.

And also alarm tab having problems with matching digits with that is on scale see pictures below:

Bumping priority as this is an issue which affects both Alarm and Timer and requires more attention.

Not sure if this is the same issue or not, but there is additionally an issue with momentum.

If I drag the timer handle and flick it quickly, it has momentum and the dial spins a little farther after releasing. This behaviour is fine and feels natural, but the time at the top is set to the point I released rather than where the dial is located.

This means a quick flick can put the dial to 35 seconds and the time reads 00:27.

If they are the same bug, I'm thinking it is not the inaccuracy, but rather the time is simply not being kept in sync with the dial correctly.

@Sam nice observation :). I was beginning to notice this as well when trying to solve this bug (but in vain). Thank you for your input. I am really hoping to get this bug solved before the end of this month (may 2013) as it also affects the alarm functionality.

@dreamsorcerer; hi, please do not change the status of bugs in the "ubuntu-ux" project, as we use this project to track design status and final design QA. For example, changing status from Fix Committed → Fix Released in ubuntu-ux means that a designer has tested the implementation of the bug on the phone and has confirmed that implementation matches the change request.

Full details of what status means for ubuntu-ux bugs is available at https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/document/d/1PcNRQZFbfmmQEvxu4SZHO3GZ9Zaetg9p2DOmRwOUbS0/edit#heading=h.yt7pgvf4mg7m

Reverting ubuntu-ux status back to Fix Committed so that designers know that the implementation is ready to test.

Changed in ubuntu-ux:
status: Fix Released → Fix Committed

Well, this feature doesn't even exist anymore, after 2 years of being able to test the design implementation, so changing the status to Invalid.
