Comment 2 for bug 689446

i have the latest compiz on ubuntu 10.10 installed but didnt know from which ppa it come from.
now ubuntu tweak isnt working anymore.
changing the window manager to compiz in default application would make window lose its title bar and a warning said that window manager cant run.
when i move to kubuntu, both compiz and ubuntu tweak can be accessed.
but after i change the backend configuration from flat file to gconf on kubuntu both application cant be accessed anymore.
reinstalling from synaptic package manager didn't change anything
