Bug Description
Since ๐๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ ๐๐.๐๐๐๐๐ "Precise Pangolin", hibernate is disabled by default. This was done coz most hardware lack proper support for hibernate/support under Ubuntu. See https:/
I request ๐๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ค include an option to enable Hibernate, so that normal users may easily access Suspend and Hibernate options from the system indicator menu on Ubuntu panel. I believe this is similar to the feature request to add/remove options to sessions menu (bug #960612), but I couldn't find such a setting in the current version v8.8 of ๐๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ค on ๐๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ ๐๐.๐๐๐๐๐.
Originally this bug report had a request for including an option to disable Unity's Global Menu too. However, Unity 7 on ๐๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ ๐๐.๐๐๐๐๐ "Trusty Tahr" introduced an option to choose between global menu and LIM. See http://
