Comment 4 for bug 1438421

I have the same thing. Logging in to yahoo mail ends up in a white screen. No matter whether (1) I go to yahoo.com and login there or (2) using the yahoo mail web app from the ubuntu store.

I'm on Bq Aquaris E4.5. OS build number: OTA-9.

On my phone, I can't find the above mentioned log file (/home/phablet/.cache/upstart/application-click-yahoomail.kcrissey_YahooMail_2.0.12.log) nor the mentioned folder (/home/phablet/.local/share/yahoomail.kcrissey/). Maybe this is because of I uninstalled the yahoo mail web app.

I thought that it might be a memory issue. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-app-launch/+bug/1478853 and escpecially its duplicates (#1478348, #1482198, #1482427, #1482593). In the description of the dublicates, it's all about white screens. However, in the bug report of #1478853 it says that this specific bug is kind of resolved.

It could also be a yahoo issue. If you search the web for "yahoo mail white screen", there are thousands of reports. I tried several things concerning the yahoo account/mail settings and how to approach the yahoo mail login screen. I also did some cookie deletion and similar stuff. Until now, I couldn't find a way to get yahoo mail working.
