I guess this is an issue with gpg, not the packaging guide itself. Though it does seem that the output in precise is a bit more clear:
You need a user ID to identify your key; the software constructs the user ID
from the Real Name, Comment and Email Address in this form:
"Heinrich Heine (Der Dichter) <email address hidden>"
Real name: Foo Bar
Email address: <email address hidden>
Comment: Baz
You selected this USER-ID:
"Foo Bar (Baz) <email address hidden>"
Change (N)ame, (C)omment, (E)mail or (O)kay/(Q)uit?
