Comment 882 for bug 1

I have been applying a patch to this bug in Central Illinois. I am a member of an organization called "Freecycle" (http://www.freecycle.org) and have been using their network to distribute X/Kubuntu-loaded computers to people in need. I figure that, since Microsoft would only end up charging them so much to keep Windows, I may as well take it upon myself to provide a more reasonable alternative.

I do distribute the computers with the ubuntu-restricted-extras and WINE installed, but that is due to user-friendliness more than anything. After all, I know more than a few people - even people on this very forum - would be quite upset if they got a computer and found out that it wouldn't play MP3s.
