I just installed a new nvidia geforce video card on my system. When I
rebooted I got a blank screen. I searched the forums and found a solution
that fixed it within a few hours. On the other hand, the last time I ran
Windows,I bought a new printer that sat unused and gathered dust for 3
months before I found a driver that would run it. Linux support is free and
windows charges for their support. Yes linux does have some problems, but
its free thats why there is more ditros. Every one has diferent taste so
if you dont like one try another, they are free and support is free. Or pay
$250.00 for windows vista or 7 and support is not free and you are stuck
with it. On the other hand most of the problems in linux is caused because
vendors dont cooperate with their drivers, and linux and open source has to
come up with a way to work around it.They are doing a good job of it in
most cases. Ill stick with linux. I dont like unity either so I stick with
gnome.
