While Following the Tesplan for the live session, I couldn't select language.

The testcase for Live Session in Lubuntu Desktop amd64 in Hirsute Daily is incorrect as it refers to the ubiquity installer - however Lubuntu uses the Calamares installer

This is also a problem in the test I did this morning of the Ubuntu Studio 21.04 Beta image. But is it a problem with the Test, or a bug in the installation medium?

Can you confirm that this happened in Lubuntu Hirsute? The first thing the Calamares installer asks for is the language. Did you receive any error messages? What happened when you tried to select the language? Could you install the system?
I also saw no report from you on the link you provided.

Sorry for my mistake and any confusion caused - I failed to notice that you were reporting Live Session and not installing the system .

This is not just issue of test case having wrong step, it is also affecting non-English speakers' ability to choose their language for live session.

There is a bug #1883719 for this, although concern there was only not being able to select desired language _under EFI mode_ on _Ubuntu MATE 20.04_ (BIOS mode offers language selection). Current Ubuntu/Ubuntu MATE allows language selection when Try/Install screen appears. Since Lubuntu is not using ubiquity, old (BIOS mode) language selection option should be presented before booting into live session.

(they'd need change now anyway as `calamares` now provides swap and the created testcases didn't make any allowance it; the checklist has been amended but not testcases)
