Bug Description
The auto-punctuation feature should be expanded to support closing brackets and quotes as well as inserting full-stops. For example typing the sentence:
Bob said "I like keyboard features (when they work
and then tapping Space twice should result in:
Bob said "I like keyboard features (when they work)."

The previous description suggested that brackets, quotes, and sentences should be completed with separate double spaces, and therefore that completed periods should always go outside quotes. This is common amongst software developers such as myself, and in en-UK; but in en-US, a following comma/period should go inside the quote, even if it doesn't strictly belong to the quote. blog.apastyle. org/apastyle/ 2011/08/ punctuating- around- quotation- marks.html> www.thepunctuat ionguide. com/quotation- marks.html# adjacentpunctua tion> www.grammar- monster. com/lessons/ quotation_ %28speech% 29_marks_ punctuation_ in_or_out. htm> www.grammarbook .com/punctuatio n/quotes. asp>

Partly because some locales don't use strict nesting, and partly because it's just more convenient, everything unclosed should be closed together with the period.
