Bug Description

To reproduce:
download hardy-jeos-i386.iso (alpha 3)
install without LVM (to avoid bug 163195)
but otherwise choosing all defaults.

It fails in "Select and install software".
Alt-F4 shows messages
"/usr/lib/pre-pkgsel.d/I: No such file or directory"
  menu item pkgsel failed.

This was in vmware player, FWIW.

Someone mentioned a similar error here:
http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/2008/01/09/%23ubuntu-devel.txt
"my virtualbox just crashed and took the kept error with it, somethig about pre-pkgsel.d being empty"

I wonder if this was caused by the changes made on Dec 10th
to add pre-pkgsel.d...

This should be fixed with the most recent daily image:

If not, please reopen this bug.

Have fun! :)
