I have the same configuration (environment) as you have Kaivalya. I'm
glad to hear you have resolved your issue, however, I am still unable to
successfully execute the app. I've reinstalled it multiple times,
cleared cache, etc... However, as a work around, I use the synaptic
package manager, and any software i need to install, i just do it via
shell (terminal).

The irony of all of this is that while I can't execute the Ubuntu
Software Center, I can via wine run one of the most graphically taxing
games ever :D. Go figure :D.
