Alt+Shift working and persistent, at last with yesterday updates:

gnome-control-center (1:3.6.3-0ubuntu50)
gnome-settings-daemon (3.8.6.1-0ubuntu9)
unity-control-center (14.04.3+14.04.20140220.2-0ubuntu1)

It seems that control centers of Gnome and Unity where fighting :)
