Bug Description
I consider the new font very stylish and wish there was an equally good-looking monospaced variation at the time when it arrives.
Some early design stages of Ubuntu Mono have been documented on the blog:

Thank you for your interest. I too am looking forward to the Monospace regular, bold, italic and bold-italic for terminal use. Monospace will *not* be included for Ubuntu 10.10 (if indeed any of the Ubuntu Font Family is).
As you've probably seen from the milestone attached, Monospace availability is expected for late 2010 or early 2011 and should be available via a phased beta of some kind to catch the majority of major bugs and showstoppers early (as is trying to be done with the rest of the weights).
