Bug Description
At the point that the pieces come together for distributing an openly-licensed version of the Ubuntu Font Family (bug #632411), the .deb package will require adjustment:
* renaming from 'ubuntu-
* including any documentation we've built up (eg. rationale for particular designs)
* debian/copyright and license information
* debian/changelog versioning (bug #632411)
Copied over from dup: The current packaging of the font can be improved in various ways to follow what it being done in the upstream pkg-fonts Debian Font Task Force:
- adding VCS-foo and VCS-browser fields to the upstream VCS
- adding bugreport scripts
- expanding the short and long descriptions
- adding a Homepage: field
- moving the section to the newly created dedicated fonts section
- making the copyright file DEP5 compliant when the licensing has been decided
- installing the FONTLOG and other relevant documentation to /usr/share/
- dropping cdbs for better control over the specifics of font packaging
- adding a README.Source
- loosing the defoma dependency (obsolete and uneeded now)
Nicholas will take care of providing some of these packaging improvements when the VCS tree structure (bug #640526) is defined.

Some of these packaging changes are small and quickly done but they depend upon decisions in the orig tarball. Some of them are not entirely essential but I guess this can be improved after the initial release.
