Bug Description

I noticed whilst reading the review and accompanying screenshot at:

  http://arstechnica.com/open-source/news/2010/07/first-look-new-ubuntu-font-boosts-linux-typography.ars

that the kerning of the glyphs within the sequence "will likely" does not appear consist with the surrounding text; naming 'w-i-l' and 'i-k' are close compared to 'l-l' and most other kerns which are tending to leave two pixels spacing, rather than a single pixel spacing.

This looks fixed to me in 0.80 ... at every size except 10pt. I reported bug 1391910 about that in particular. If you see the problem more generally, please reopen this bug report.
