We don't suffer from this problem on the Launchpad Help wiki right now but it's certainly possible.
We currently use ACLs to prevent write access on sensitive pages or those where we've experienced vandalism. However, if upgrading MoinMoin is a route to better spam protection, then that will help us avoid future spam problems.
