Your answer seb128 is very nice but it is not far from the error message that the Ubuntu 24.04 installer is generating. Try installing it on a Dell Inspiron 3501, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 2.40GHz × 8 processor. Ubuntu 22.04 already works on this laptop without any problem and with the same bios configuration the 24.04 installer gives the error that you are informed of in this entry and does not generate any additional data in the log. The truth is that the installer tells you "We're sorry, but we're not sure what the error is.
You can try to restart your computer and start the installation process again" is quite discouraging, since it is crazy that 22.04 is running on the same PC and version 24.04 does not even start the installation process.

Hello Sebastien, first of all I tell you that when booting this error message appears "error: file ´/boot/´ not found." From what I was investigating it has to do with some leftover code from the starter that would be looking for the configuration file in the wrong place but according to what I found on the internet it should not be the cause of the problem, I am attaching the logs that I found in /var/log/installer/ Let's see if your eye sees better than mine..

Thanks for the log. Did you get that one after hitting the "We're sorry, but we're not sure what the error is." dialog? Because there is no error in the log which is a bit weird...

 once the installer stops and issued the error in question, close the installer and copy the ".log", but the directory "/var/log/install/" contains many "subiquity-server-debug. log" with ".xxxxx" where the "x" are different numbers, the same thing happens with the "subiquity-server-info.log", and the content is different in all of them, I did not attach them because they contain between 300 to 1200 lines each and there are around 50, I'm looking on the internet to see if it's possible to install Ubuntu 24.04 without having to use subiquity but I can't find anything concrete, do you have any idea if it's possible to install 24.04 by another means, because the system that loads the boot works perfectly, it recognizes all the components of the Dell, it even allows me to manage the disks without any problem, something that I cannot do from the installer, if I do not find a solution to the problem in the next few days I will have to change distro and I wouldn't want to leave Ubuntu alone because the installer doesn't work well, the thing is that once you change the Linux distribution you won't go back, Red Hat, Suse and others were left behind, I wouldn't want to have the same thing happen with Ubuntu but.. ;)..

Alberto Reyes.. puede parecer loco pero ya estoy utilizando 24.04, y despues de buscar y rebuscar errores en los log y no encontrar absolutamente nada, empece a probar diferentes cosas y lo que me permitio instalarlo, o sea dejo de detener el instalador, fue deshabilitar la wi-fi y ya!.. es de no creer pero solo con deshabilitar la tarjeta wi-fi me permitio instalarlo, mejor no me pregunto el por que de esto..
