Comment 2 for bug 1215332

I do not believe that the new ubuntu sdk widget will land anytime soon. As a result, I have decided to write my own code (with the help of another external contributor) to reproduce the design as close as possible. This should be sufficient for the 1.0 release. We can revisit this later after the 1.0 release if necessary.
