It was likely that an updated version of the BIOS system could fix this issue. I did the BIOS update, and it was successful. The computer works after the update :-)
But it did not fix this bug. The temporary boot option
"Linpus Lite (<name of the USB drive>)"
is still not working with the current daily Groovy iso files :-(

Also after the upgrade (with AHCI and legacy alias BIOS boot) the option
"USB Hdd: <name of the USB drive>"
works with USB drives cloned from the current Ubuntu Groovy as well as Lubuntu Groovy.
