hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
hp dc7900 (c2d-e8400, 4gb, intel 4 series integrated i915)
which have been failing b/c of this issue.
During boot on dc7700 I accidentally pressed SHIFT+INS on the wrong keyboard, which resulted in me seeing messages that i normally see before it asks for permission to download..
"line 49 can't open /dev/sr0: No medium found"
before more expected messages like "fsck:md5sums%"
Today's thumb-drive boots normally too on both boxes :)
