This would be useful. FirefoxNotify isn't currently available for Firefox 3.6, but worked very well under 3.5.

The source is available at http://github.com/linkinpark342/firefoxnotify. It's only 10kb including chrome, so I'd have thought it could easily be integrated into ubufox.
