Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Open Mozilla Firefox, choose "Help" from the menu bar, then select "Release Notes". Surprise, surprise:
Release notes for *Ubuntu* are shown, not the release notes for Mozilla Firefox (which you would expect).

Can't imagine this comes in the Mozilla.org supplied Firefox (didn't bother to verify), so this must be considered a bug in the Ubuntu-supplied version of Firefox. Searched the bug database, and found a related bug (# 210146) reported for beta versions of Firefox.

If this is somehow done on purpose (and therefore not technically considered a bug), then it is still a bug from a [user interface] point of view. Fix is obvious, and should be easy: when you start *Firefox*, choose help from the menu, and then "Release Notes", you should go to release notes for whatever version of *Firefox* you're running. Release notes for Ubuntu should be found elsewhere (like when you choose "System" from the desktop panel, followed by "About Ubuntu".

Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) LTS i386 desktop edition (english)
Mozilla Firefox reports as:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092510 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.3
(distro-supplied regular upgrade, all shiny & new)
No user patches, just the usual multimedia plugins and NoScript installed.
