Comment 3 for bug 534402

Looks like the VML / Internet Explorer code has a bug where it can't handle missing glyphs in the font, causing catastrophic failure.

As a temporary fix, make sure you avoid any characters that aren't part of the typeface definition, until a fix is made to the fallback code.
