What's puzzling me is that the code *is* passing an int to the remote system over XML-RPC; I've checked.

However, I'm just wondering - could this be something to do with the fix for bug 301676 that we issued a while back? IIRC the Pidgin Trac is running that (the latest) version of trac-launchpad, as is this one. The bug trackers running older versions of the plugin don't seem to have this problem.
