It seems to be that sometimes a boot is "bad". I will boot into the device, the unity dash works as expected, but none of the apps start up - they just disply a blank white or blank black screen. A swipe from the left will get me back to the Unity dash, but no minimized app is shown. I will then have to reboot one or more times, but eventually it will boot up in such a way that all apps work.
