Could you describe a little about how you would use the features you described, and what you want to do with them? This will help define what actually needs to be done, or perhaps suggest alternate ways to accomplish the same goals.

One thought which comes to mind... to keep track of short tasks you could do quickly, you could just apply a context called @quick or @short or @bite-sized. Or, I've also seen people track temporal data via percent tags (%lastminute, for example). I may add support for '%' in much the same way it handles '@' now, just to give people the option of having two separate tag namespaces. I doubt I'd use it, but it's easy to add and would help a few people.
