Comment 871 for bug 1

Here in South Africa, it is as if there is a complete disregard to the needs of the consumer. What we need, is affordable hardware and software and stuff like localized keyboards. What we get, is expensive high-end hardware with expensive commercial software preloaded. We also get the QWERTY keyboard which is incompatible with some of the languages spoken here. Ubuntu will never root itself into South African computer use as long as retailers blindly ignore our needs.
