Actually the detailed feedback is by Ken Saunders ;-)
Anyway, don't waste your time in installing a different Thunderbird build only for testing this case (because, unless you want to try others features, you don't have to use it for your usual work).
Many people are currently trying Thunderbird 3.3a4pre, someone of them will do this simple test. :-)
