Arguably nearly 50% is quite a lot. I want to be able to work with more than one
window at a time.

But it's not so much about the size as such. A good UI should have quick and
direct access to frequently used functionality and nothing else; it shouldn't
have buttons for functions that are hardly ever used laying around getting in
the way - especially in prominent places like the toolbar. With a working "Reply
To List", I wouldn't use reply "Reply All" more than a handful of times every
year, if at all, and with such rare, a toolbar button is quite definitely wrong.
Again, it would only be in my way 99% of the time. In fact, I think even a
dropdown would be a bad idea. Another unncessarily complication, I think.
