I'm using thunderbird-2.0.0.14 and it works fine so far. can you please
update your system and try to start it with a clean/new profile and see
if it works. Reason i say new profile is because i tested it and it
failed i installed icedonve from sid and it worked so i went back to our
version and it worked, moved profile and it didnt work. this was when i
was steadily working on that set up.If i need to fix it please let me
know, what version of tb what version of r-t-l extension/addon
