Sorry, I don't know much of anything about writing Seamonkey extensions, and I don't use it myself so I'm not likely to learn. My C++ patch should apply without any serious problems though, and I'd be more than happy to accept a patch to make the extension work with Seamonkey.
As for getting the button included by default, that'd be great, but I don't want to get involved with the inevitable bike-shed painting about exactly how it should work. My extension makes it work just how I want, and my patch makes it possible for anyone else (including the main Mozilla developers) to make it work how they want. If my design is desired for mainline Mozilla, then the JavaScript should be simple enough to copy from the extension.
