I strongly concur with this issue. At least, in TB versions 1-2, "Unselect Message" took care of this problem. However, I've never understood why this option wasn't automatically included in TB to begin with.

I do not want TB making the decision to select any message upon delete (including marking junk) or at any other time. I prefer to leave messages as unread, until such time that I wish to read them. I feel that this is also a security issue, especially if I mark a message as "Junk" (which deletes the message) without reading it, only to have the next message (also Junk) to be automatically selected.

Please put this on a higher priority basis and correct this flaw.
