Same problem still excists in Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 on Windows XP SP2.
I am also wondering why, (it is said anywhere above) they are using a "mv foo Foo" command and not a rename command.
If I press F2 in explorer on any file name, and change foo to Foo then it works, so why should it not work for Thunderbird?
