Just wanted to confirm the case-sensitivity (i.e. case-insensitivity) renaming problem problem also for Thunderbird 1.5.0.7 (Windows).
For example: you'd like to track some SuSE-related mailing list and created some filter for it, redirecting mails to the "SuSe-ML" folder. Then you notice the spelling mistake and want to rename it to "SuSE-ML" - does not work, because the folder 'already does exist...'
As mentioned below, the same error of course also occurs, if you just leave the name as it is, and press ENTER in the rename dialog.
