I too agree that this is a bug. It doesn't matter what the underlying problem
is, the user want to rename their folder to change the case, they ought to be
able to do so without the hassle of naming it something different first. To
argue otherwise shows that you have no understand of user interfaces and user
interaction and should be delegated to writing behind the scenes code that never
sees the light of a terminal screen.

I can't believe this thing has been in here since July 2001!
