Comment 4 for bug 1301605

I've started working on a POC in which terminator acts as a tmux client (using control mode) as described above.
Before I delve into into it though, I wonder if you are aware of anyone that made some progress regarding this?
Another small question I have is regarding which version I should be using?
Currently, I'm implementing this on top of 0.98 although considering the experimental gtk 3 branch maybe I should switch to it?
If you think it won't be much pain migrating between them, I'll stick to 0.98 for now.
