I tried andfagiani's lp. I found I could create a tmux session named terminator and then connect to it with `.terminator -M`. Terminator would correctly query the tmux server for the window layout. It was quite easy to lose consistency between the tmux session and the terminator session -- killed tmux panes did not close the terminator tabs. terminator tabs could crash without affecting the tmux beneath.

Is there a way to run tmux commands from the terminator window?

I want some level of integration, but I didn't really like the iterm tmux integration either. Really I just want native scrolling elements.
