Leo: I don't think the project is officially discontinued, it's just that there are no active developers at this point. If you could find someone with interest and time they could devote this project, that would be awesome. The original maintainer passed on the project to Stephen who apparently doesn't have time or motivation to work on this, and I myself don't have it either. We'd need a volunteer!
