In fact, this problem still occurs in opensuse11.4 GM.
The problem is just that the brcm40211 driver is too unstable.
A wordaround is to blaclist the brcm40211 driver in order to reactivate the broadcom-wl driver (as at current stage, the wl driver is much more usable)
procedure are as follows:
goto directory /etc/modprobe.d
cat find the file 50-blacklist.conf
add blacklist brcm80211 to the end of the file
