I would also like to add that although the Telrad is a commercial product, it helps a lot of backyard astronomers who don't have motorized mounts. At my local star party/meetup, more people use Telrads than motorized mounts, by good margin. There are other one-power aiming devices, and I hope that whatever system that the Telrad circles once used, can also be adapted to theirs, in fairness.
