Ok, so actually the adjustment didn't take us too far at all in the direction it took us, if Stellarium is still on the early side compared to the others. Definitely getting closer to what would have been a noticeable event in Athens. For the Latitude & Longitude that Stellarium provides as "Athinai" I'm still finding no total eclipse, and the fullest eclipse happening beneath the horizon just before sunrise. But if I add just 1 degree East to the longitude, now I do get a total eclipse, and it happens just as the sun is rising.

So I think you're right that these latest adjustments are needed. For my own use, I'll go ahead and start depending on the 12.1 test version as probably providing the better reconstructions of historical events.
