Bug Description

ic410.png and n2359.png not correctly sized to power of 2 for the renderer. And therefore they do not load.

Stellarium 0.12.7 LTS

Can't confirm issue (ic410.png has size 800x800 pixels, n2359.png - 500x500 pixels).

Please give info about graphics card.

Ohh gosh it's old, 82855gm by intel.

The log file suggested to manually resize the images to power of 2, 512x512 & 1024x1024, and it worked. So that's my work around.

found cas.png also needed converting. All other nebula images included with 0.12.7 LTS are power of 2.

So the fix is to make sure all textures are 2^n x 2^m at least in the 12.x series. I think systems ready for Qt5 do not have such problems any more.

Not exactly. Some old GPU requires 2^n sizes for correct rendering. For example I can't reproduce the issue on nvidia GPU.

Yes, ancient GPUs which are generally not powerful enough for Qt5's OpenGL2.1 requirement.
See https://www.opengl.org/wiki/NPOT_Texture
So I conclude this affects only the 0.12 series.

As an aside.. I also found CAS.png not loading, but it never got mentioned in the log. After manual conversion it, too, now loads.
