Yes, those missing tabs/options indicate features not yet implemented in grub2 or in sum.
For example, the password command seems not to exist in grub2 yet according to http://grub.enbug.org/CommandList
Therefore, the security tab is hidden in sum for grub2 until those commands are implemented.

Nope, not yet. I haven't figured out how to implement that in sum yet, Grub2 has a totally different configuration system so its a bit tricky.

Hi,

I've enjoyed using startup-manager for quite awhile, but Ubuntu is moving to GRUB2 for default installations in Karmic. Old installs will not be upgraded automatically though. Please consider adding support for GRUB2.

Have the dev of Grub2 gfxmenu in the thread & I think you two could talk/come up with some ideas......
