Released versions of StarlingX do not have CONFIG_WIREGUARD enabled. Wireguard was accidentally enabled during the StarlingX 6.0 development cycle (i.e., before the official release), and a clean-up commit later disabled it.
Also note the following bug report, which was likely reported in the aforementioned time frame during which CONFIG_WIREGUARD was enabled in the kernel configuration:
