Hi Gautier

Thanks for the prompt reply, and my apologies for not getting back to
you sooner. Well, much as i suspected might happen the file now (as of
today) converts perfectly - rather think you might be wasting your time
to try and chase this one down, in my days in the support chair I'd
probably mark this one as fixed. I'd attach a copy of the file for you
if I could, but it's quite large (18.6MB) and while I know it's possible
to send such large files I don't know how.

Take your comments re mp3 to flac conversions. Yes, the conversion can't
possibly add missing detail to the mp3 file, but I do find the result is
smoother and more spacious, and pleasanter to listen to than the mp3.
Anyway, you've got me intrigued so I've resolved to do a comparison
between an mp3, a conversion, and a native flac of the same song to see
what the differences are. You may yet convert me to buying flac instead
of mp3, which will be a strain on the finances but probably worthwhile.
As the saying goes, the prices is soon forgotten while the quality is
long remembered

Best regards

Tina
