Comment 24 for bug 1320020

Seeing this problem on a clean install (no dual boot) of any release from 13.10 on up to 14.10.
Lenovo x120e.

Drum sounds are heard at login screen, then no sound in system.
Sometimes it works for a while, then shuts off randomly.
Works fine in live cd.
Seems to be something within an update done via system updater after install.

Headphones work just fine when plugged in.
Sound works fine when Windows 7 or 8.1 is installed (non dual-boot)

Any way we can increase the importance of this? It has not worked for over a year now for me.
