Comment 2 for bug 1311473

To take openstack-ci as an example, I wouldn't want to have to run my own log server to receive openstack-ci events.
I think the norm would be to:
- send emails
- have irc bots
- have a nice UI to check on the status
- have an android app that receive notifications
