I would like to apologize for the delay in response here. Our official bug tracker has been moved to bugs.sugarlabs.org and I have been lately swamped with a good amount of tasks - while this is really not the ideal thing to happen, it does, since we are all just volunteers.

Concerning your question: It seems like this problem is indeed very common and somebody already filed a new ticket at bugs.sugarlabs.org: http://bugs.sugarlabs.org/ticket/1626

I have talked to a number of people this morning and rebuilt the boot helper to include the selinux parameter: http://download.sugarlabs.org/soas/releases/soas-2-boot.iso

For the build itself, it should already contain it. The EFI folders are for Macs only - there should be a syslinux directory together with a syslinux.cfg file, which should show the parameters there.
